Once upon a time was never meant to be gentle.

Grimm’s Fairy Tales is a richly detailed cross-stitch design from the Literature Series, inspired by the original folk stories collected by the Brothers Grimm—where magic is powerful, lessons are earned, and the woods are never just scenery. Featuring classic fairy-tale symbols, bold typography, and storybook characters framed by a decorative border, this pattern captures the timeless—and slightly eerie—charm of these enduring tales.

Perfect for readers who love folklore, myth, and darker fairy-tale traditions, this design stitches up into a striking piece that feels both nostalgic and dramatic.

A clear DMC floss color palette is included with the pattern, so you can easily gather your supplies and jump right into stitching with confidence. Twelve of the patterns in our Literature Series share the same thoughtfully curated DMC color palette, making it easy to collect and display multiple literary designs together as a cohesive, bookshelf-worthy gallery.

Pattern Details:

  • Finished size: approximately 3.57” x 3.57”

  • Recommended fabric: 14-count Aida

  • Stitching: 3 strands of floss

  • Format: Digital PDF cross-stitch pattern

  • Uses a shared DMC color palette across the first twelve patterns within the Literature Series (palette included)

Whether stitched for a fairy-tale lover, a folklore enthusiast, or someone who appreciates stories with sharp edges and lasting meaning, Grimm’s Fairy Tales brings depth, tradition, and a touch of magic to your stitching.
