We’re taking a break!

To give our team a much-needed and well-deserved break, Stitch People will close on Dec 24, and will reopen on January 9th, 2023.

We’ve put together a list of FAQs that may come in handy while we’re out!

What dates will you be closed?

Nobody will be available to answer your questions starting at midnight December 24th to midnight January 9th

Does this mean you won’t be available, at all? What if I have an inquiry about an order?

Yes, this means we won’t be available to answer your order questions. We’re a small team and will be spending quality time with our families over the holidays. We’ll be excited to connect with you again on January 9th!

If you need help while our doors are closed, look for your question in the FAQs on this page. Most answers can be found there. If not we will help you as soon as possible on January 9th!

Orders

My book wasn’t delivered/where’s my order (physical items)?

  • Double check the type of book you ordered
    • It sounds obvious, but make sure that the book you ordered wasn’t a digital product (PDF only). In the rush of ordering an awesome new book, it can be easy to miss that a book wasn’t a physical book.
      • To double-check, log into your account and head to your orders: https://stitchpeople.com/my-account/orders (if you don’t have an account, you can create one. Just make sure you use the email address you used on your order)
      • Click on the ‘View’ button next to the order
      • Check for the words “e-book” or “PDF” in the product title
      • Do you see a section called “Order Updates”? If so, your book is physical. You will see the tracking number which you can copy and paste on https://usps.com/tracking to see where your order last was. If it’s close by, it may just be a few days late.
  • Check your tracking number
    • The book may still be on the way but is just running a few days late.
      • To see where your book was last, log into your account and head to your orders: https://stitchpeople.com/my-account/orders (if you don’t have an account, you can create one. Just make sure to use the same email address you used on your order)
      • Click on the ‘View’ button next to the order
      • In the section called “Order Updates” you will see the tracking number, which you can copy and paste on https://usps.com/tracking to see where your order last was. If it’s close by, it may just be a few days late.

I can’t find a PDF I purchased

  • Make sure you have an account on stitchpeople.com
    1. To create an account, head to this page: https://stitchpeople.com/account-registration/ and make sure to use the email address you used to purchase your PDF
    2. Once you’ve created your account, head to your downloads page here: https://stitchpeople.com/my-account/downloads/
  • Make sure you are using the correct email address to log in
    1. PDF downloads are assigned to accounts by email address. If you ordered using a different email address to the one you have a Stitch People account with, you will need to create a new account with that email address. 
    2. Email us at [email protected] so we can merge the two accounts when we’re back on January 9th.
  • Make sure the payment went through
    1. If a payment is still ‘pending’, your download will not be available until the payment has cleared. If you used PayPal Echeck, your download will not be available until your echeck has cleared.

I’d like to add the digital or physical book to my order. Is that possible?

Yes of course! When we return on January 9th, we’ll send you an invoice for the remaining balance to upgrade your order to the combo. If you need the book sooner, feel free to purchase the book at the full price and then email us with your order number. We’ll refund you the difference as soon as we’re back.

My book appears to be out for delivery, but hasn’t arrived by Christmas

It’s a bummer not to receive the actual item on Christmas day, but we’ve designed a 1-page print-out you can pop in an envelope and tie a ribbon on for your loved one. Something is better than nothing! Print out the PDF, write in the item(s) they’ll be receiving, and voila! Download that PDF with this link here.

Gift cards

I was given a gift card for the holidays, how do I use it?

At the top of the check out page, you’ll see text that says:

“Have a coupon? Click here to enter your code”

Click on that text and you’ll be able to add the code from your gift card as payment or partial payment.

Stitch People Club / Memberships

Where do I find the January club pattern?

The January club pattern will be available from January 1st onwards. If you are a Stitch Fun or Stitch Fanatic member, you will find the club pattern in your account on this page: https://stitchpeople.com/my-account/monthly-club-patterns/

When does the Community SAL/Stitch Free club pattern become available

We’re really excited to start the Stitch Free/Community Stitch a long! We want to make sure it goes off without a hitch, so the pattern will be available the week of our return, January 9th. We’ll email you with more information.

When will the chat/members area of the website be ready?

This will also launch when we get back, the week of January 9th!

Subscriptions

When will subscriptions become available?

We’ll be launching our brand-new Subscriptions when we’re back in the office on January 9th!

Facebook

I have the DIY Stitch People book, why haven’t I been given access to the Facebook group?

If you applied to the Stitch People Facebook group between December 23rd and January 9th, we may not be available to grant you access at this time. We will review your application when we’re back on January 9th.

I reported a post in the DIY Stitch People Facebook Group. Why hasn’t my report been addressed?

Between December 23 and January 9th we will only sporadically be monitoring the Stitch People Facebook community. We will review your report as soon as we see if, at the latest on January 9th, 2023.

Other issues

My issue is urgent! How do I get in touch with you?

Between December 23rd and January 9th, the whole Stitch People team will be taking a break and spending time with their families. Even the most craftiest of crafters need a proper break, so we’d ask you to please allow our team that time to reinvigorate. Take a thorough look through the FAQs above to see if they may help resolve your issue. If not, we will get back to you as soon as we can on January 9th.
