We’re looking for an intern to help us format Volume 2 of our best-selling pattern book “Do-It-Yourself Stitch People.”

This unpaid, remote (at-home) position requires a high-energy, self-directed, deadline-oriented individual who has exceptional communication skills. This position requires someone with an excellent, or advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and access to their own computer or a school computer with the Adobe Illustrator software.

Responsibilities:

You will work on your own time and set your own schedule. You will communicate directly with Lizzy, the author and designer of “Do-It-Yourself Stitch People,” in relation to your internship needs and what responsibilities need to be completed.

The primary deliverable for this internship would be the reformatting of “Do-It-Yourself Stitch People.”

Our hope is to find someone who will take pride in owning this project and making it their own.

What to Expect:

We’ll meet or set up a call to discuss the needs of the project, and touch base about your internship requirements. You’ll gain access to various digital Adobe Illustrator files that need to be re-vamped. You’ll learn to work with a manager, communicate regularly and professionally, meet deadlines, and learn the art of remote work by setting your own at-home work schedule (something that requires more planning and discipline than you may think!)

Payment / Schedule:

This is an un-paid internship and would qualify for school credit, only.

To Apply:

Please send an email to info@stitchpeople.com using the subject “Internship Application” with the following attachments: an example of work you’ve completed using Adobe Illustrator (or you may provide links for large files, or links to online portfolios), and a resume (it’s okay if the resume is a little bare!) Please include a small description about yourself and why this internship appeals to you in the composition of the email. Thanks!
