The physical book is 8.5″W x 11″H, and spiral bound for easy use. The E-Book is a normal PDF file that can be read on tablets, mobile devices, e-readers enabled to view PDF’s, laptop and desktop computers. The E-Book PDF and physical book are identical.

What about shipping?
Shipping to all areas within the United States is included in the price of the book. International shipping is calculated in real-time during checkout.
If I buy the physical book, when will I receive it?
Orders are typically processed within 24 hours, thanks to our devoted shipping team (my mom)! Orders are shipped via USPS. Upon fulfillment, you’ll receive an email with tracking information. Shipping will take anywhere from 3 – 7 days depending on your proximity to Stitch People’s “home base” in Utah.
If I buy the e-book, how and when will I receive it?
Your digital download link will be sent to you immediately via the email address you provide during the checkout process. After purchasing the e-book, you’ll receive two emails from Stitch People. The first email will be a confirmation of your order, and the second email will have the subject line “Your Stitch People download.” This second email will contain a link towards the bottom of the body of the email which is unique to you and your purchase. Clicking on this link will take you to a webpage where you must then click “Download Now” to download the Stitch People e-book to your device.
Can I buy the DIY Stitch People book in stores?
Not yet. Because the book is self-published, we don’t have the immediate benefit of a wide distribution network. We’re working hard to make the book available to as many people as possible (we ship anywhere in the world)!

Most other cross-stitch patterns or books you may purchase offer one – maybe a handful – of pre-set patterns. This book offers literally millions of portrait combinations for you to create characters and families of all types, reflecting the look of just about anyone you know. It walks you through making your own decisions about colors and color combinations to get everyone’s look and feel just right. Not only does it contain hundreds of designs, it instructs you how to create your own patterns and transfer your ideas to the fabric, to lovingly create family heirlooms that have more meaning than what I jokingly refer to as “kittens in baskets” or “ABC teddy bear” patterns. This book offers A LOT more creativity on your part, and MANY more options than your typical craft book. You’ll be able to create gifts for loved ones for years to come. In addition, with each portrait you create, the “cost” of the book decreases. Think of it this way – it feels like it costs $49 for your first portrait, but that cost quickly becomes $24.50 per portrait/pattern after completing your second. When you finish your third portrait, each of those three patterns now costs only $16 each, and your fourth, fifth and sixth family portrait patterns cost $12.25, $10.00, and $8, respectively. Not bad prices for heirloom-quality, priceless gift giving!! And, having stitched over 300 portraits myself, I can tell you they’re ADDICTING, get faster to complete, and never fail to please the gift recipient. (In my case, each of my 300 patterns has now cost, essentially, $0.16 per pattern. Yes. Sixteen cents.)
